Simulate A Google Bot

First, this is not a hack, but it's an easy and smart way to access some sites..

A lot of sites requires a login, or you need to pay to get access..
In this little tut I'm going to show you how to get pass that part;)




In common for a lot of sites (also CC) they will be found on googles
search results, for that to be done they have to allow google
"crawlers", a software that reads and indexes the content of the
website.

In this tut I gone show you how to become a google crawler (google bot)..

First, this is what happens if you enter a page that requires authorization (without changing your user agent variable):

The site identifies the user's browser by reading the "user agent"
variable. When this page finds out that you are a normal user, they send
you to a registration page.


Become a Google-bot

Google crawlers don't have any browser name in the user agent variable,
this means that they enter strait into the page, without being sent to
the registration page.

I will show you how to change the user agent variable so that you can become a google bot!


Firefox:

1. Download "User-Agent switcher" from:

Copy the contents, paste it into notepad and save it as "user agent variables.xml"

Tools> User Agent Switcher> Options> Options> User
Agents> Import> Find the file you saved as "user agent
variables.xml" and press open

Internet Explorer:

IE requires that you make a change in the Windows registry.
I recommend that you make a backup of the registry before you make this change! (File> Export ...)

1. Press Start and select Run (Winkey R)

2. Type regedit

3. Navigate to the \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agen

4. Change this to Googlebot/2.1" "Compatible"=" [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

5. To change it back, you have to change it to the way it was before ..

I've also mad this reg file that dos everything for you in IE
